World Central Kitchen Supports Ukrainian Refugees

Cole Law Group proudly supports the World Central Kitchen’s efforts to provide warm meals for Ukrainian refugees. Our CLG Compass Project will sponsor “Songs for Ukraine,” a fundraising livestream event that will be broadcast via Twitch on April 13th at 7:00-10:00 pm CT. Please tune in for uplifting musical performances by a selected group of talented artists.

The following is a message from the World Central Kitchen:

“On February 24, Russia launched a large-scale military operation on neighboring Ukraine, invading the country on several fronts. The UN estimates over 1.3 million Ukrainians have fled since the attack began, with that number expected to rise dramatically. The journey is daunting, with many Ukrainian families traveling for days without food.

Working at a 24-hour pedestrian border crossing in southern Poland, WCK began serving hot, nourishing meals within hours of the initial invasion and are now set up at eight border crossings across the country. Additionally, we are supporting local restaurants preparing meals in eight Ukrainian cities including Odessa, Lviv, and Kyiv. WCK teams are also on the ground in Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and arriving soon to Slovakia to see how we can best support.

As the situation continues to evolve, WCK will continue to help in the best way we know how, with a freshly prepared plate of food—and we’re ready to expand our support for families in need.”

UPDATE: We are so happy to share that we reached our fundraising goal in support of the World Central Kitchen. WCK volunteers are currently on the ground in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, and additional areas of Europe to offer the comfort of home-cooked meals.

Our livestream event, “Songs for Ukraine,” featured performances by S-WRAP, Ele Ivory, Juke of June, Candace in Wonderland, Livviy, Keyler Matthews, CA$HK, and Raul Vargas. Cole Law partnered with H.O.M.E. (Helping Our Music Evolve), Glasse Factory, and NashLive! to make this evening possible.
