Parker Johnson, a proud native of the heartland, brings a unique blend of Midwestern values, strong work ethic, and diverse experiences to the Cole Law legal team. He received both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law, Politics, and Society and a Juris Doctor with certificates in Business Law and Intellectual Property from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Parker grew to love Tennessee while vacationing here with family, and upon graduation decided to make Nashville his home.
As a student, Parker demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence while balancing responsibilities as a business owner. From his early teens and throughout law school, he honed his business skills while operating a successful lawn and landscaping service, becoming proficient at scheduling, marketing, accounting, and day-to-day business functions. Years spent managing and growing a small business now affords him unique insight into the operational, financial, and legal challenges faced by entrepreneurs in today’s business environment. Parker represents clients in business formation, business litigation, entrepreneurial business, and intellectual property protection.
Parker also has a passion for music and entertainment law and a particular focus on counseling emerging artists. He advises and assists clients with contract management, recording contracts, publishing agreements, distribution deals, performance contracts, music licensing, and royalty structures. He also offers IP protection and litigation specific to celebrities regarding trademarks, copyrights, publicity rights, trade dress, merchandising, and contracts related to their intellectual property rights.
With a keen eye for detail, Parker quickly analyzes complex legal issues, identifies key factors and develops creative litigation strategies tailored to each case. He possesses strong interpersonal skills and is particularly focused on building lasting relationships with his clients, earning their trust by demonstrating unwavering integrity in all professional dealings, and prioritizing honesty, transparency, and fairness in client representation.
Parker and his wife, Dayna, spend their free time enjoying family activities, hanging out with their dog Rugby, and playing pickleball.
